Short version: we take your name, address and number so we can come and look at your roof, and we do not do anything else with them.
What we hold and why
When you ring or email us we write down your name, your address, your phone number and what is wrong with your roof. We need the address to find you and the rest to talk to you about it. That is the whole reason we hold anything.
We keep job records — surveys, quotes, photographs, invoices — for six years, because HMRC expects us to and because a ten-year workmanship guarantee is difficult to honour if we have thrown away the file. Photographs of your roof stay in your job file. We will ask before we put any of them on this website or anywhere else, and if you say no that is the end of it.
We do not sell your details. We do not pass them to anyone except where we genuinely have to do the job — a scaffold firm needs your address, a supplier might need a delivery address, your insurer needs the storm documentation if you are claiming. We do not run advertising trackers on this site and there is no analytics cookie following you around.
If you want to know what we hold about you, or you want it deleted, email office@jcmayerroofing.co.uk or ring 0121 496 0184 and ask. We will sort it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you think we have got it wrong, and you would be within your rights.
This is a demonstration site. Before it goes live this page needs a real review against your actual practices, and the ICO registration number adding.
